Abstract

With the development and evolution of 5G, Internet voice communication (Voice over IP, VoIP) has joined the competition of traditional mobile communication operators. However, the current VoNR commercialization faces problems such as imperfect network coverage and incomplete wireless enhancement function support, which puts forward high requirements for network planning. This paper elaborates on performance issues of VoNR enhanced functions, coverage and capacity, by testing VoNR voice quality with measurement experiments performed in the commercial mobile network. Moreover, feasibility analysis is carried out in view of the 5G frequency bands, and reference suggestions are provided for commercial use of VoNR.
