In this paper, in order to enhancement of optimization procedure, the gradually reducing inertia weight approach has been used by progress of PSO algorithm. The offered method has been simulated on IEEE 30-bus standard network by MATLAB software. Comparison of the results of the present method with other ones, such as genetic algorithm and gradient method obviously showed its superiority. Abstract

The present paper aims to resolve the economical dispatching and optimization of voltage profile using particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm. The PSO algorithm is a general optimization method to adjust nonlinear functions. Regarding to special consideration of issue, this method can considerably lead to optimization (increase or decrease) of various objective functions.
