This study aims to describe the perception of the importance of technological abilities in developing the rest of their professional abilities among the teachers of basic education of rural schools in the State of Nuevo Leon (Mexico). This first investigation of the subjecttakes a quantitative approach of the the descriptive type; where the study subjects are primary school teachers in rural schools who took a training course in technological skills in a State Teacher Training Center. Abstract

At present, teachers of any educational level, from pre-school to higher education, face a challenges related to the incursion of technology into the educational field. Thus it is important to know what happens with teachers in rural schools. How has this technology influenced them?
