Abstract
Reconstruction of human breast tissues from MRI or other medical imaging scans are critical for early stage breast cancer detection research. This paper describes an automatic system that takes a set of two-dimensional (2D) medical images and produces a high-quality, three-dimensional (3D) volumetric mesh suitable for finite element analysis, which is important to breast cancer detection research.
