Abstract

Gamification has been shown to have a positive effect on learning. Currently, many applications have been developed for learning, however, not all users, such as those with disabilities, can access the applications. Accessibility is an important requirement for users with disabilities. Slow learners in primary schools are students with limited cognitive abilities that affect their learning ability. To develop an accessible gamification application for slow learners, specific theories need to be considered. This paper presents theories applied in designing the interface of a gamification application for slow learner. The resulting interfaces design based on relevant theories applied in the application are also presented.
