Abstract

The results of the development and field tests of the information-diagnostic system model based on Hall sensors for the magnetic flux leakage defectoscopy of railway rails are presented. The use of an eight-channel sensor, in addition to detecting the fact of a defect or structural element of a track, allows it to be localized in the cross-section of the rail head with respect to its working or non-working sides, which increases the information content of the system as a whole.
