Abstract
Frequency diverse array using logarithmic frequency offset can produce a range-angle dependent non-periodic beampattern. In this paper, a frequency offset of logarithmic function based on binomial series expansion is used to provide a focused FDA transmit beampattern. Compared with the conventional single carrier logarithmic offset, the proposed method can steer energy at a particular target location with enhanced directivity.
