Abstract
This paper presents a step by step method for designing a residential PV inverter based on a six IGBT module. The use of an LC filter in the output, designed considering phasor relationships, brings the ability of having a very low THD without phase shifting or reduction in the voltage amplitude. An extra switch in the input conveys the advantage of managing buck and boost capabilities depending on the duty cycle. Simulations illustrate the viability of the results, and tables are provided for verification.
