Improving an encryption scheme adapted to JPEG stream encoding

Abstract

Encryption of images stored in JPEG format should obey certain rules to provide comfortable usage of the image. These rules are derived from a reasonable use-case and from the particular structure of the JPEG stream. Some schemes have disadvantages and the paper presents the improvement process towards a better encryption method.
