Abstract

The advancing development in the context of cyber-physical systems opens new perspectives for simple products and complex systems such as smart buildings up to networked urbanization. The technologies create intelligent networked systems that have the potential to open up new markets for companies. These companies, which in the past focused on the development and production of innovative individual components or systems, now face the challenge of tapping this potential. Against this background, a future-proof system architecture for sports stadium components was developed that meet the future requirements of urbanized product-service systems. First, future scenarios of sports stadiums were created, which described the potential for changes in usage behaviour with increasing digitalization. Based on this, typical use cases were identified for the users in the reference scenario that is most likely to occur. With the help of the use cases, necessary system elements can subsequently be derived, to which potential technologies can be assigned with the help of a technology roadmap. This creates an orientation framework for further technological development.
