Abstract

The problem of the human exposure to different types of electromagnetic field sources is a challenging one and should be considered an up to date issue, especially due to the actual trends and progress in mobile communications technology. The here presented paper proposed a study on the measured values of specific absorption rate (SAR) for three mobile phones, GSM-900 and GSM-1800 MHz bandwidths, using a SATIMOCOMOSAR system, provided by an accredited laboratory. A comparison of the SAR values determined by measurements with those from standards has been also done and the conclusions have been taken for different cases of exposure scenarios.
