Dental prevention in children with cleft deformities

Abstract

&NA; Children born with a cleft lip and/or palate are at increased risk of experiencing dental problems compared with the population without clefts.1 This article explores the amount of preventive dental advice parents receive for their children with cleft lip and/or palate by healthcare professionals and whether there is a need to focus more on preventive measures.
