The work is a first hand source about the personality, caliphs and legends of Sari Saltuk, which was seen by the author himself. In terms of containing the most ancient information about Sarı Saltuk, it is also a source for the history of Anatolian Alevism. At the same time, Ibn al-Serrâc, the sheikh of Rifaî, includes information and legends about Ahmet er-the Rifaî, founder of the sect, and the Rifaî dervishes up to his time. It narrates the narratives of many Sufis circulating among the people, such as Zünnûn Mısrî, who is one of the leading names in the history of Sufism, Hallaj-ı Mansur, Abdulkadir Geylâni, Ibnu’l-Arabi, as well.
