Requirements for Service Delivery and Service Assurance Platforms in an Open Systems Based Advanced Intelligent Network

Abstract

This article cover's the views of an Advanced Intelligent Network Long Distance service provider and service integrator regarding requirements for service delivery and service assurance platforms in an open systems environment. It discusses the overall goals of service providers and their customers along with the attributes of an Advanced Intelligent Network open systems environment. It also presents service delivery and service assurance processes along with the environmental constraints of the existing platforms. The focus of this presentation is to detail the requirements for service delivery and service assurance platforms that can progressively improve flexibility, accelerate the service delivery process, and ensure availability of service assurance capabilities at the time of rolling services into the network.
