Abstract
Attention difficulties and, within them, the Attention Deficit Disorder with or without hyperactivity, are nowadays very present among the problems in the classroom. The attention mechanism is essential since the majority of the task and activities that we make require some kind of attention in order to understand environmental information. If this mechanism fails, important difficulties in learning will appear. When an Attention Deficit Disorder with or without hyperactivity appears, it will be necessary to make a diagnosis, which will involve several agents, among which will be the teacher. When the problem is identified and diagnosed, it will be required the implementation of some answers in order to help those students. Within these responses we find pharmacological, psychological… treatments. In these measures the teacher has little to do, but he/ she will be directly responsible to adjust the conditions of everyday life of the student in the classroom, so he or she can develop his or her full potential taking into account the disorder he or she suffers. The teacher will need to adapt the physical environment of the classroom, avoiding all the possible distractions to the student; he or she also need to establish strategies to help in the student’s learning; also, to ensure that the student does not suffer because of his or her problem from an emotional and affective level, since these children may have self-esteem problems, and especially in the cases in which these children suffer from hyperactivity and impulsivity too. Some rules about coexistence and behavior’s control should be established.
