Abstract

The 3/sup rd/-generation mobile radio system will require high-quality data transmission and multimedia services. Channel coding and interleaving techniques are very important in achieving high-quality data transmission and multiplexing techniques are also important in realizing multimedia services. On the other hand, wideband CDMA (W-CDMA) is a promising radio access standard for the 3/sup rd/-generation mobile radio system.
