Abstract

The so-called cycle of Major Events, experienced in Brazil in the fi rst two decades of 21st century,fostered an Intelligence integration process among federal security forces, embodied in the construction of the Command and Control Centers. A historical comparison reveals a close conceptual linking between Brazilian integration structures and North American Fusion Centers, conceived primarily for the prevention of and fi ghting against terrorism post 9/11 attacks.
