The journals originating from the US topped the list of cited articles. Scholars cited the current literature and Bradford's law of scattering hold good for the list of cited references with only two journals constituting the core. Abstract
An analysis of 1626 references in 22 theses submitted to the department of physics of the Aligarh Muslim University during 2010–2013 indicates that like other disciplines of science, the journal articles were the documents cited most. Most of the cited journals were published from the advanced countries of the West and 60 cited references were to Indian journals. The journals originating from the US topped the list of cited articles. Scholars cited the current literature and Bradford's law of scattering hold good for the list of cited references with only two journals constituting the core.
