With a numerical simulation, the effects of the bias current of the Semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA) in the SFRL, the relative delay of input signal light and lasing light in the SFRL, and the power of input signal light on the performance of the doublet signals are investigated. The results show that when the bias current of the SOA, the relative delay between the input signal light and the lasing light in the SFRL, the power of input signal light change, the waveform of output doublet signals are significantly affected, but the radio frequency (RF) spectra of doublet signals conform to requirements for the UWB signal. Abstract
