Abstract
This paper presents the hardware implementation and control algorithms used in small electric valve actuators (<1000 VA) developed to address specific requirements outlined in MIL-STD-1399, Section 300 A and MIL-STD-461E. The design is fully compliant with the referenced specifications while adding significant reductions in size, cost, and complexity to comparable systems.
