A data management system for graphical objects

Abstract

An experimental data management system for graphical objects has been implemented. The system describes data using relations, but contains enhancements which allow it to represent objects and abstract data types more directly than traditional relational systems. This paper describes the new management system by showing how it can be used to describe a database representing a building.
