From the chair

Abstract

Summer is here in the Northern Hemisphere and the signs are everywhere-the weather has warmed, those of us in academia are attending graduations, and the crush of reviews for SC is nearly complete. This issue of CONNECT appears just before PASC, one of SIGHPC's three co-sponsored conferences, takes place (July 2 to 4, 2018 in Basel Switzerland). The call for papers for PPoPP'19, another cosponsored conference, just came out. I am honored to serve as the general chair of PPoPP'19.
