Edward LeRoy Long ]r., the Pearsall Professor of Christian Ethics and Theology of Culture (Emeritus) of Drew University Theological and Graduate Schools, is a Presbyterian minister (Honorably Retired). His many books include War and Conscience in America and Peace Tteiking in a Warring World (both, Westminster Press, 1967 and 1983 respectively). To Liberate and to Redeem? Moral Reflections on the Biblical Narrative will be published by Pilgrim Press in 1997.
