Abstract

Temporal magnification followed by coherent optical sampling is proposed to enable demultiplexing of 160 Gbaud N-OTDM signal with sampling pulses up to 10.4 ps. Compared with coherent matched sampling, the proposed scheme features better performance with sampling pulse width greater than 6 ps.
