Abstract
In modern communication and mobile communication, duplex patch antennas have been widely used for their outstanding performance at low cost, low profile, and small scale. In this paper, a duplex patch antenna is presented. The ground plane's size and shape and the defected ground structure (DGS) could be flexibly adjusted to change the resonant frequency bands of the windmill-shaped patch antenna although the patch is fixed. The windmill-shaped antenna achieves a short distance between the two bands for f1 =3.4GHz and f2=3.6GHz with high gain in 5.61dBi and 4.08dBi in a compact size (43.75mm*43.75mm*1mm). For validation, the two antennas are manufactured and measured after being fully simulated.
