This study was performed with a qualitative and quantitative approach which details and evidence were surveyed via Google form and described from semi-structure interview to investigate environmental factors that impact EFL online teaching and learning in university and home contexts. The results indicate the success of implementing EFL online teaching in Indonesian higher education is highly dependent on the proficiency and readiness of lecturers in teaching transition, media preferences as teaching medium during project-based model is fully and blended learning approaches and institutional support during teaching adaptation.
