Abstract

In this paper, DC-side fluctuations occurred in one DC electric railway system are investigated. To cope with this issue and improve stability margins of DC electric railway power systems, an improved virtual capacitor control algorithm is proposed to miti-gate fluctuation of DC voltage of the systems. Besides, the inertia is also strengthened by the proposed control algorithm. Finally, the theoretical analysis is well demonstrated by the simulations.
