After a decade as director: the user's perspective revisited

Abstract

Computing support received at the first university is recalled as being cheerfully provided and of superior quality. Following the writer's recent change of duties at the second institution (from Director of Computing to Coordinator of Computer Science and Engineering), he is somewhat dismayed and chagrined to find that computing support viewed by a user is not as good as the same support viewed by its director.
