The motivational activities to enhance BIM awareness of graduates at the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Košlce are described and discussed in the paper. The activities involve the following areas: lectures and trainings on BIM technologies, student competition and availability of free student licenses for BIM software tools. But especially, the effect of these activities on BIM awareness of university students is examined. Abstract

Currently, the Building Information Modeling (BIM) is extensively recognized as an incentive for increased productivity and innovations in architecture, engineering and construction. Nevertheless, apart from many numerous benefits of the BIM adoption in construction, it faces several considerable questions.
