Process-oriented simulation languages

Abstract

This article presents a brief general discussion of simulation languages followed by a more detailed description of some the important important features of process-oriented languages. Event oriented languages and some of their properties are briefly covered. Essential elements of process-oriented languages are described and desired features are elaborated. A need for a powerful, complex, yet easy to use process-oriented simulation language is emphasized.
