Abstract

A problem associated with electronic transmission equipment today is that of reliable secondary DC voltage development. Many switch centers must provide unattended service imposed with uninterruptible power demands. Typically, uninterruptible power is developed through the application of inverters operated from rectified utility power utilizing a back-up battery float. Should the utility power degrade below a predetermined level uninterrupted energy is supplied from the batteries.
