Search for SMK majors by users (students) is more accurate, because the application can make recommendations about content that will become the core of the system when making recommendations. The purpose of this research is to build a recommendation system for junior high school students by developing a content-based filtering system that can provide major recommendations based on the students' interests, talents and abilities. Abstract

Research background education is an important aspect for society. One level of further education is a vocational high school (SMK). There are many things that need to be considered in choosing a vocational high school, such as choosing a major based on interests, talents and abilities.
