As to Rose in August Wilson’s Fences, most of critiques view her as an “angel in the house”, devoting herself to her family without female self-consciousness. While the paper will prove Rose is a brave, independent woman who has a sense of self to express her ideas, stick to her decision and pursue her felicity she wants.
