Abstract
In this contribution we present a first version of a simple and fast system for E-field and SAR distribution measurement of hyperthermia applicators. The system consists of five main parts. These are 3D positioning system, light emitting diode (LED) sensor of electrical field (E-field), aquarium with saline solution, digital camera and image processing algorithm. LED E-field sensor is moved in front of the aperture of hyperthermia applicator while the digital camera takes pictures of the scene in appropriate cross section of the applicator. Digital image processing is then performed in order to extract intensity of light emitted from the sensor and reconstruct the final distribution of E-field. Results from this measuring procedure are compared with the results from numerical simulation.
