Abstract

an optically transparent monopole antenna based on indium tin oxide (ITO) is investigated in this paper. The optically transparent ITO thin film is used as the conductive layer, which is coated on an optically transparent glass substrate. The proposed antenna not only owns the merit of ultra-wide bandwidth, but also possesses a high optical transparency and light weight, and it is expected to be easily integrated to the surface of windows, and applied in many ultra wideband applications, with little chance of detection.
