The present work has the objective of avaluate the effects of different factors in the break dormancy of Avena sativa seeds. Iniatially the seeds were allocated in gerbox boxes and submitted to four treatments, being them control (presence of light), dark, gibberellin and sulfuric acid. The bigger percentual of germination was through the dark treatment. However doens’t showed significative difference in the statistical analysis between the control, dark and gibberellin treatments, being observed the difference only in the sulfuric acid treatment.
