Abstract

For considering the stochastic nature of storage conditions, an approximation procedure that extends the Brownian motion with extended degradation rate to incorporate the variations of stresses is proposed. The acceleration effects under the stochastic stresses are derived and verified by extensive simulation studies. The presented methodology is proved to be a powerful tool in relating accelerated aging experiments to field applications.
