This work has lead to the creation of an inspection system for tampoprint impressions on plastic casings. The specificity of the process and the economic constraints of the project specifications drove the originators to develop an all software product which uses standard material only. The originality of the presented solution lies in the optimal exploitation of camera resolution (256/spl times/256 pixels).
