The use and development of physical simulators

Abstract

This paper describes the development and use of a physical simulator involving a single server queuing process. The process simulated is analogous to the marking of pallet loads going into an AR/RS warehouse. The physical simulation process will be compared to a digital model using GASP IV. The objective of the study is to expose students to problems of real world data collection and control methods as well as teach principles of simulation.
