Abstract

Analytical solutions of equations for a boost converter without feedback are presented. These solutions make it possible to predict the accurate response of the system to initial conditions. Simplified mathematical expressions are obtained for the oscillation period and the damping decrement and level for output voltage. By comparing analytical solutions for boost converter in open loop with the simulation results in the MATLAB and open source ngspice programs resulted to a similar output.
