Abstract

Worldwide around 1.35 million people died in traffic accidents in 2016 and up to 50 million were injured [1]. While much research has already been conducted and accident prevention measures have been installed the emerge of new data and technologies in recent years has broadened the potential of in-depth research and traffic accident prediction. In this article, we present an overview about relevant data in the city of Bremen, Germany, and assess how these data can be used to understand and predict traffic risks.
