Coaching: A valuable approach to developing student skills for the workplace

Forrest, The Higher Education Academy The 2011 Higher Education White Paper (BIS 2011), the increase in fees payable for the 2012 intake into HEIs in some parts of the UK, the acknowledgement for the need to focus on employability and the challenges of engaging and motivating students within programmes are the context for this project, which used coaching approaches to empower students and facilitate learning and selfdevelopment.
