Abstract

This paper presents a comparison of two inlet permanent magnet synchronous machines with concentrated windings. A novel 24-teeth/28-poles machine design with flux barriers in the stator teeth is compared to a common 30-teeth/20-poles design, which is widely used for hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) applications.
