Abstract

The main causes of damage to wooden structures inheritage buildings are the influence of atmospheric factors andthe ageing processes associated with them. In the case of the rooftruss of the 16th century church in Lubowo, the technical conditionis additionally affected by leaking roofing, damaged gutters,downpipes and flashings. Some of the elements of the woodenstructure have suffered biological corrosion, causing themto lose their strength values. The roof truss of the 16th centurychurch in Lubowo dates from the construction period of the building.Due to the historic value of the truss structure, the renovationwork refrains from interventions that would change itsform, shape and type.
