Grating Spectral Device with Possibility of Working in High Diffraction Orders

Abstract

The properties of spectra in different diffraction orders in a grating spectral device are investigated. The topology of the diffraction grating is suggested, which makes it possible to redistribute energy into high diffraction orders and, thus, to improve the spectral resolution of the device. Theoretical and experimental investigations of the device with the possibility of operating in the third diffraction order are presented.
