The mass flow meter connected to the engine made it possible to convert the obtained concentrations into emission values. Due to tests being performed on the engine dynamometer, the mass of emitted harmful components was related to the produced energy unit (g/kWh). This allows a comparison of different engine types according to one criterion. The results obtained for different drive cycles were compared. Abstract

The article presents the emission measurements results of a modern gasoline engine with direct fuel injection.
