Abstract

1.25 Gbps single fiber transceivers have been successfully obtained by introducing a low cost polymer straight waveguide and 1.3 /spl mu/m-PD/1.55 /spl mu/m-PD, for the first time. Minimum sensitivity of -23.3 dBm was confirmed at BER=10/sup -12/ under 1.25 Gbps full-duplex operation with fiber output power of -10.5 dBm.
