Abstract

Partial discharge location in power transformers has been investigated by carrying out simulation on a representative model winding. The transformer model winding for analysing simulated partial discharges is represented to consist of sections having series inductances, mutual inductances between sections, series capacitance across section and shunt capacitances between terminals of section to ground.
