THE STRUCTURE OF THE GDP OF THE KUWAIT ECONOMY

Abstract

The structure of the gross domestic product of the Kuwaiti economy consists of about 59% of the oil sector during the study period 2006-2019, as the added value of the GDP increased from about 29.6 million Kuwaiti dinars in 1995 to about 39.4 million dinars, with an increase of about 7.8 million dinars. K, with an increase of 26.4% and an annual growth rate of 20%, and the rest of the non-oil sectors of the national economy contribute about 40% of the GDP, which makes the Kuwaiti economy vulnerable to instability and fluctuations. Therefore, planning focuses on sectors that no longer have an activity by returning to take their role in the wheel of development and increasing the contribution of non-oil sectors such as agriculture, manufacturing industries, the financial sector, trade, banking and health by a greater percentage than the current contribution and by overcoming the problems and challenges facing the project as well as directing investments and implementing projects Conclusively, in the non-oil sectors to increase its contribution to production and added value, accelerate performance, improve productivity and employment.
