Abstract

This paper introduces a semi-automated approach to the creation of a detailed design model from an early stage conceptual design, including details of the major software components for such a system, the requirements placed on all participating simulation tools, as well as a formalized process for managing the data in an automated way. The proposed method is compatible with industry-standard simulation tools, so long as they provide the required or a complementary application-programming interface. The example system that is described uses common simulation tools for the development of the detailed system models.
